About me
I am a mom with 5 wonderful children. I have been with my spouse for 14 years, and he was active duty military when we met. This has allowed me to develop an understanding of living both military and civilian life. Our family has also experienced wartime trauma.

Not only am I part of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, but I have both personal and professional experience with gender non-conforming persons and other members of the community.

I have a very strong love of books and learning, which leads me to always looking to better myself through knowledge and experiences. I believe mental health treatment is for everyone, including myself! Life is a journey and we are always growing, changing, and in need of support.
Professional
I believe that there is no "perfect therapy" for everyone. I feel that using an eclectic approach— drawing from different therapeutic approaches based on the needs of the individuals— is the best way to help you through whatever is facing you at that moment. I believe that therapy is fluid, not straightforward. I will work with you by meeting you where you are currently on your path, and helping guide you in the direction you want to go based upon your goals and plans. No one knows your issues or how to fix them better than you do; sometimes you just need a little guidance on the way, and that is what I work to do during our time together.

I believe that everyone has the opportunity to live their best life, but sometimes life may get in the way and we may struggle to do so. My goal is to help you through those struggles, and there is no greater feeling for you than when you come out on the other side of your struggle stronger and happier than before
